A. Product characteristics and uses for our company’s compound silicon carbide deoxidizer products:

Silicon carbide is a chemical compound which is covalent bond of carbon and silicon, and belong to the non-oxide. Because of its instability under high temperature oxidation atmosphere, especially when the temperature is above 1627 degree, oxidation reaction is very speedy. Take advantage of this characteristic, we further delveloped compound silicon carbide deoxidizer as a substitute for silicon iron and recarburizer used for molten steel deoxidizing and recarburizing in the process of converter, common carbon steel, and low alloy steel, in this way it could reduce the steel melting cost to a large degree. .

C. Recommended use directions for our company’s compound silicon carbide deoxidizer products:

 

  Before smelting deoxidizing alloy in ladle bottom, add 3-6 kg/ton; start the deoxidizing alloying operation when the liquid steel out  comes up to one third to operate, for others operate according to the conventional technology

 

D. Using effects of our company’s compound silicon carbide deoxidizer products:

 

  1. Compound silicon carbide deoxidizer could completely replace silicon iron and recarburizer, and in this way could decrease the dosage of Fe, Al and Si, and could reduce the steelmaking cost by 6-10RMB/ton.

2.Taking compound silicon carbide as a substitute for silicon iron and recarburizer for  the smelting of common carbon steel and part of low alloy steel could make the recovery ratio of the effective elements more stable.
